Our facilities are located East
of Fort Saint John in Northeastern British Columbia,
minutes from down town, near the local airport. The track
started in 1998 and was originally to run 1/8 mile. We are
a Volunteer based non-profit organization with approx.
$500,000 in donated money and labor. The track is leased
from the North Peace Airport Services and the Control Tower
was donated from BC Highways ( it was the old weight scales
building at mile 54)
Thanks to all the executives that do so much each week to
make this all possible. Thanks to all the Volunteers!

Track rules and
regulations - 2007
* Drivers of motor vehicles
other than junior dragsters must hold a valid drivers
license. Motorized pit vehicles may not be operated by
anyone under the age of 14. Pit vehicles may not be
operated later than midnight in any case. No children’s
bikes or toys in the pit area until the tree is down.
* Socializing after 1:00 AM should be indoors or at the
main fire pit area
* Entry gate will be locked at 11:00 PM. A designate will
be made available for emergency and special situations.
* Access to staging/track area restricted to foot traffic
after tree is down
* Race day to be called no later than 2:30 PM on any given
day
* Music and loud noise must be diminished or eliminated
after 1:00 AM out of respect for our neighbors and fellow
campers
* No campfires in pit area other than in the designated
existing main fire pit
* Refrain from bringing glass containers into the facility
* All vehicles must pass tech inspection and obtain a valid
tech sticker prior to racing.
* Pit lanes shall be used for driving as opposed to
parking. Cars should be pitted off of paved surfaces
* IHRA rulebook to be utilized. Please refer to this
document whenever possible to avoid confusion and
unnecessary questions. All track officials/executive have
the rulebook available for review
* No burnouts or spinning in pit or staging areas
* Windows must be rolled up during competition
* Gentleman staging always in effect
* Lane choices to be made by drivers. Disputes resolved by
coin toss
* No alcohol consumption allowed on the facility during
times when tree is up, or before tree is up (mornings)
* Non prescription drugs not allowed on facility
* Pets allowed in all areas but staging, but must be kept
on a leash
*Pit maximum speed is 10 mph
* First round matches by card system or draw. Opponent no
show results in single run
* One bye round per day maximum. Bye must be run, and
disqualification will only result if car crosses
centerline. First round bye to be established by random
draw.
* Crossing of centerline results in immediate loss, and
may, subject to the race captains discretion, result in
weekend disqualification
* Entry fees refunded if no runs were made. Tripping lights
at staging constitutes a run. No rain cheques for a
Saturday rainout. Rain cheques only for Sunday rainout.
($20 to be used in current race year)
* A qualified driver must be seated in the vehicle, in the
drivers position, while it is running. When running in
gear, the rear axle must be supported by two axle stands,
situated on a plywood platform
* Passengers not allowed during eliminations. Passengers
during time trials must have and use all appropriate safety
gear
* Dial ins to be displayed in the left hand window as well
as the right hand front windshield in white marker only
* Return on pit lane on tower side of track. Right hand
lane to always have right of way
* Use return lane as safely and quickly as possible. No
spinning or parking on return lane
* Use far end turnaround only if necessary to maintain
momentum of the staging area as well as overall race
progress
* Come to a complete stop to pick up timing slip
* If you wish to deep stage, you must display this on your
windshield
* Burn outs across starting line will only allowed at the
discretion of the race captain. Failing to honor this
policy, in the interest of maintaining a reasonable flow of
cars through the entire race process, and to maintain your
opponents heat, may result in disqualification. Front
braking ability will be the deciding criteria used to
establish this special permission. Please consult with the
race captain prior to entering the staging area
* Consideration must be given at all times to other
participants, campers and spectators.
* All concerns directed to race captain or designate. Do
not go to the tower at any time
* Competition drivers license required for all entries
running 0 – 9.99. NPBRA, NHRA, or IHRA accepted. NPBRA
license requires same information and qualification passes
as NHRA and IHRA. Contact tech representative for
information and/or pass scheduling. Cars /drivers will not
be allowed to run below 9.99 without proper licensing, and
cars running 9.00 and quicker will require chassis
certification either IHRA or NHRA which may be outdated by
no more than 2 years from date of expiry.
* No loud vehicles may be started prior to 9:30 AM or after
9:00 PM due to noise bylaw (will be strictly enforced by
race officials)
* Staging lanes open from 10:00 AM to 12:45 PM on both days
for time trials; eliminations starting at 2:00 PM. Time
trials restricted to a maximum of 3 per vehicle.
o Lane 1 – bike/sled and juniors
o Lanes 2 and 3 - pro
o Lanes 4 and 5 – street
* Only one pit vehicle per car allowed in staging area.
* All track rules and
regulations to be followed
* Passengers not allowed
* DOT helmets required
* Street tires only
* Must pass track tech
* Must be insured and registered
* Must have full exhaust and mufflers
* No electronics allowed; ie transbrake, crossover, delay
* Nitrous, turbos, super chargers, chips allowed
* Line lock allowed
* No faster than 11.50 seconds
* Pure street runs only on Saturdays, and may enter Sundays
regular street class at an additional charge
* First round losers may enter the regular jackpot event
* Cars may only run pure street if entered in that
competition (one class per car)
* Minimum of 8 cars required to run a ladder
