Year End / Nominations.

Windup Banquet, which our volunteers have worked very hard at ensuring will happen, are encouraged to purchase them by this Friday, October 14th at The Show Sports Memorabilia (between 5:00pm & 9:00pm) in the MacKenzie Mall beside the Stonebridge Hotel. After Friday the tickets will be $50 each. Anyone looking to give donations of any sort please have them at The Show by Saturday, October 15th so the Banquet Committee is able to prepare prior to the following week-end.

There are currently 4 positions available for the Executive, these include Secretary, Treasurer, and two Directors. The Secretary and Treasurer positions are for a 1 year term and the Director is a 2 year. Unfortunately, due to the lack of turn out for the general meeting, there have been no nominations and since the Executive needs to have a full roster to run for the 2012 session, everyone is encouraged to consider one of the mentioned positions. Without an Executive, there is no 2012 races! If anyone would like to nominate an individual for the mentioned positions, please respond to this email. Another general meeting will be scheduled for the month of November, after the Windup Banquet.

There will be a final Work Bee this Saturday, October 15th at 12:00PM to ensure everything is put away and properly stored for the winter. Please attend and lend a hand.

On another note, Darrel Brunt was in attendance last night and advised Dale is healing at home and is making excellent progress. The benefit received overwhelming donations and an appreciation is sent to all Fort St John members that attended and signed his card. We are hoping he will be up for attending the FSJ Windup as well.

Rain Date / Year End Windup

The Rain Date race for the Fountain Tire Bracket Nationals has been set to Sept 17, 2011.
The feature cars for the July race that was cancelled are scheduled to be there.
Our year end wind up and dance has been set for Oct 22, 2011. Tickets will be available at the NAPA race scheduled for Aug 27&28. We need some volunteers for this, if you can help in any way please
